Harjinder Gill, President and CEO

Entreon's founder, Harjinder Gill, is an internationally-recognized expert in the field of business and technology modeling. He has spent much of his 30-year career creating innovative, practical solutions to the very real problems companies encounter when compiling and managing enterprise information. As Entreon's "thought leader," Harjinder has extensive experience with data warehouse technology, electronic commerce, repositories, meta data management and complex systems solutions.

Official Guide to Data Warehousing In 1996, Harjinder co-authored the industry's first comprehensive guide to data warehousing, "The Official Guide to Data Warehousing." The guide has since been printed in four languages and sold more than 10,000 copies. His other accomplishments include creating the first data warehouse reference architecture and framework, as well as designing the widely-used StarWay® business modeling methodology. Harjinder has consulted on business modeling and technology to government agencies; the banking, insurance and technology industries; pharmaceutical and medical organizations; and marketing groups.

His extensive business experience began in 1970. He joined Honeywell in 1973, working his way to executive positions in Honeywell's Marketing, Sales and Planning organizations.

In 1988, Harjinder left Honeywell to form his first entrepreneurial venture, InfoSpan, which created the first client-server meta data management tool for CASE and data warehousing. After InfoSpan, he founded hsgSoft Systems Corp., parent company of the enterprise application consulting company, The Indica Group. Indica's blue ribbon clients include Allstate Insurance, Asset Marketing Services, Best Buy, Delta Dental of Minnesota, Deluxe Corporation, IBM, Imation and Norwest Mortgage.

Harjinder holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a Masters of Science degree in Physics from the University of Kansas. A Rhodes Finalist and National Merit Scholar, he also received business education at the Wharton School, the Advanced Program for Directors at Harvard Business School and the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
